NE SD

The good folks at Digi-Star hooked me up with a serial cable and then recommended I use WinWedge or CE-Wedge from Taltech.

I originally started out with CE-Wedge on a Dell Axim PDA but I didn't like Excel Mobile and the Axim would do funky things sometimes so I upgraded to WinWedge and bought a used Toughbook laptop on eBay for $500. Dad was a little disgusted with me RIchardering around with a laptop but when I printed out all of his fields in a crop ins. acceptable format he really warmed up to the idea. Real easy to email the files to the agent for him to uh.....look over, as well.

You can set it up so it prints the date, time, etc. That's the most difficult part but after that it's a simple push of a button and you're rolling again. We had a couple loads that went straight to town this year that we had some questions on and we were able to sort them out by looking back at the time stamp associated with the same weights and compare it to the scale tickets.
