Wondering why you would want to plant 1000 plus acres by yourself? Can you not find someone to hire for a week or two? The labor cost would be more than offset by planting more per day in the right conditions. Maybe it is not that way in IA. We get better yields when we plant it soon as the conditions get right. Maybe you guys have such a wide planting window it doesn't matter? Every day you don't have it in the ground "here" it cost us bushels/dollars.
