Saronville NE
I farm 480, but when done this spring will have planted over 2000k acres of corn and 700 acres of beans by myself, usually the wife will help me move when she gets home from work, or the customer Im planting for will help me move. Then in the fall we usually drill 1000-1800 acres of wheat, depending on the yr, has been as high as 3000k acres by myself. Then throughout the yr will put up 5k rnd bales of alfalfa, grass, millet, bean stubble, and cornstalks, swath 350 acres of alfalfa per cutting, then all the grass, millet, oats, and other things. I do this with very limited help, a hs kid helps here and there in the summer, but with baseball hes gone more then hes here, wife helps on evenings and wknds, and dad will help on wknds if I get behind.
If you were all notill and no irrigation, I wouldnt be afraid to try 1500-2000k by myself, and just parttime help at harvest.
