Subject: This is my problem with planting efficiency (pic)

NE IOWA/ SE SD
12 row 30"

Break downs kill me. Just an older planter in rough shape and the hyd. on my 4440 is slow. I plant @5-5.5mph stop completely at the end to lift up, and set down about 3 mph I was running insecticide Friday and then sprocket kept building up with trash to the point that it would take the slack out of the insecticide chain and bind enough to make the drive chain skip and give me a low warning.

In the picture I ended up taking off some of the chains and finishing the field with a triple stack.

Is there anything out their to prevent this
