Subject: Re: How many acres can one man do?

Chippewa County, MN
For two years I had 65 sows farrow to finish, 30 beef cattle, 1750 acres, and a 150 hp tractor. I spread all my own fertilizer, dug it in, planted (12-30") and sprayed every acre myself. 5AM to midnight every day in the spring. That was a fast way to a slow death! (young and foolish) I had three part time guys for fall harvest. I eventually got out of livestock, dropped 250 acres and got a 230 hp tractor.
