Subject: Re: Ford A66 engine - new engine is just a little different

The engine was installed in an A66 before they removed it. Per the salvage guy the owner put in the rebuilt engine and shortly afterwards the transmission gave out. At that point it looks like he cut his losses and junked it. The pics of the new engine (from the salvage yard) are as it was shipped (brackets, alternator, etc.). I have installed my waterpump and fan pulley support/thermostat housing and misc bracketry - everything seems to fit ok. The only significant part that's missing is turbo to intake pipe - I have the pipe from my engine, but it needs significant modification to work. As far as I can tell the manifolds are what came with the junkyard A66 and the rebuilt part is just a long block. I'm going to try to install it tomorrow and see if it works.

Thanks,

Pat

PS: I'd like to swap flywheels, but I don't have a tightening torque - anyone have a torque spec - should I use loctite?
