Subject: Putting Grain Boxes on old Highway Tractors

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
I have a 1994 IH 9200 with bunk that I was thinking of either putting a box and hoist on it, or finding a small trailer for it. A trailer would be easier to do, of course, but I have to decide if a trailer will make sense for my operation as per unloading and such. However, it is just a single frame. I am being advised by some not to do it, and to double frame it would be too much work or not feasible. I saw some trucks at a dealer yesterday, that were tractors with bunks removed, and stretched, but only double framed over the drives. I am being told that without a double frame behind the cab, the hoist will bend the frame. What do you guys do? Thanks.
