A whole lot depends on the shape of the field, are the rows short or long. Point rows cuts back the number of bales an hour so each bale will cost him more to kick out. Trees and standing poles also cost time and increase the cost.
Ideal for baling is a long out and back. You would think a pivot circle would be great if the rows went in circles, but they still have to dodge the towers.
For efficiency of picking up the bales a square field is better. | |
