Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Concerning swath control - the Insight has had this ability for a while. Again this only works out with one combine in a field so this doesn't address the original question.
Since the Insight knows where it made the last pass, it can reasonably guess the width of this pass based on the GPS coordinates. The swath width or number of rows can be setup to be adjusted automatically. The accuracy of this guess is directly related to the accuracy of the GPS being used.
There is a menu item in the Insight where you indicate the quality of GPS that you are using.
Personally I have not bothered to use this feature as all but one of our fields is a rectangle with no waterways and very few point rows.
I have always felt that the accuracy of the yield monitor with less than a full swath is somewhat questionable anyway. |
