roaming | There are laser guidance systems that guide off the line where the standing crop meets stubble, so each machine would simply be guiding off the last pass of the machine before it. These systems only work well where there is a very dense crop stand, so that the edge is well-defined. In a thin stand, the laser can't tell where the edge is. Laser systems are more popular in Europe; not sure of anyone marketing them over here, because of the type of crops we have. | |
