That is a good question and Ted will have to verify this. The InSight does the presence verification through the switch. It uses double pole double throw switches (DPDT). It is actually checking to see if the switch is present, not the valve. It does this via the DPDT switch. Single pole switches will not work. Maybe it would be better to say you can't have a "phantom switch. My problem still comes down to when you tell the Insight you have 4 sections, it will only allow sections/switches/valves 1-4. In the setup I was trying to create I needed sections/switches/valves 2-5. When I tried to remap the switches switch 5 was not a choice even though it was physically present.
