Subject: RE: Help comparing Greenstar and Trimble RTK

Arlington, KY
I do not use a network. In my area we have so many hills and trees it is impossible to get line-of-sight for more than a mile. Also my farms are about 34 miles apart from end to end. I apply NH3 in the spring and then plant corn 2" beside the NH3. I am actually moving the base stations around on the tripods and use the shift track feature ot move the implement where I want it to compensate for the base being moved. This sounds like a lot of trouble I know but actually it works well for me. I use GS2 and use Mapshots ES for product RX and use Apex to manage guidance lines. You will get many opinions on this but I can say I am VERY satisfied with my purchase of the JD RTK. You can e-mail me at [email protected] and I will give you my cell # if you want to talk more. Hope this helps.
