| The Trimble RTK is the one I would go for. Will deliver better sub 2cm accuracy in a broader range of conditions than the Greenstar, higher speeds for say spraying, compensate for implement pull etc. This is because of the 6 axis gyro that comes standard on the Autopilot system with an update rate of 45/sec, the Greenstar has just the 1 axis TCM with an update rate of between 5 and 10/sec. The Trimble can genuinely hydrualically steer most makes and models of machinery where as you will be limited on non Green machinery to the Greenstar ATU that is only a motorised steering solution, a bit like an easy guide. I do not have any commerical interest in either brand at all, and this advice I have based on both in field observations with farmer clients and then research on the key technical differences to try to work out why the Greenstar has the repeatability issues it has compared to some of its competitors. Hope that helps.... | |
