I agree, I don't think that would work most years in your area.
Your season is a little short.
Sure would take a short season wheat and there you lose your winter hardiness.
Just don't think it would work but you know me, I would try my darndest to make it work till it failed and I would tell everyone, hey, that doesn't work!
