| The current thinking is to back up winter wheat with a short-season forage crop. Hay is in short supply and looks like that trend will continue. Another thought is to use spring wheat, then fallow the ground the rest of the summer to allow a place to apply liquid manure.
No intentions of trying double crop soys with wheat here, unless we can get soys in by the third week in june. Have planted soys that late several times, for various reasons and got along fine. It gets dicey after that.
Still looking for a solid wheat market...
