What you are suggesting would probably work reasonably well if you make strips into bean stubble in the fall. I would not worry too much about adding row cleaners to an anhydrous bar going into bean stubble in the fall. Just make sure you do not leave a cut edge with the closing disks in the fall. This system is similar to what Jim Kinsella pioneered in central IL in the 90's. 

You will need some sort of guidance to be able to find and plant over the strip in the spring. It will probably not work acceptably trying to make strips into corn stalks. Depth of operation is not very consistent. jmho. Good luck.
