southern MN
New Ulm.

Corn is quite burnt up. Very heavy clay soil here, we aren't used to anything drying up around here. Dead spots in the bean fields, 30 inch rows never didd fill in, the corn you can see over in many places as you walk through.

Lots of small rains came at us from 3 different directions, but we would get .04 when others got .40. Time after time. And so on.

1988 was drier, but not by much. That year I got 20 bu/a on one corn field, 70 average.

I'm thinking my low ground will pull the corn through on much of it, but on 1/2 the ground, the ears aren't filled on one side, going to be banana ears with pointy tips this year.
