Crop tours are fun, aren't they Ted? Costly, though, this $3 gas eats into your pocketbook real quick.

I have made 7 trips across the US and amazed at the number of acres of corn we have and the condition it is in.

Still, with all the bad spots, I don't see how we will break 148 National Corn average but only the combine will tell. All my great number estimates tell me I am probably wrong. The crop is shrinking by the day but that is what it is supposed to do. Maybe not so much in some fields.

I guess we could hit 152 and if we do, strike it up to technology. I don't mean triple stacks, I mean farmer innovation.

We have done a good job, now I hope we get rewarded for it.

Farmers keep communities alive.
