Subject: Re: Why Plant Double-crop Soybeans?

Greenwood MO
Our wheat fields normally have good moisture, beans will germinate and grow fast. I drill with a JD 750 around 175000 , they will grow taller and faster when planted thicker. One good rain gives you a good canopy. Spray roundup 2 to 3 weeks later and get anywhere from 15 to 30 bu. pretty good gamble most years. even better now with higher prices; much better than disking down weeds in 100 degree AUG. heat. and getting nothing in return or spraying weeds with no crop there. DC beans in our area look very nice. Good luck to all.
