mexico, mo | By buying pairs you for one thing have a calf, you can tell if you have a "good" calf, and can see what type of dinner bucket momma has. I was thinking about buying some 550 lb. heifers couple months ago to breed to add to my herd. Since price of open heifers are really high ( which is a good thing) I bought 28 pairs that were half sisters and am going to keep the heifers out of them to AI next November. Just what works for me
