While not highly efficent to feed out, dairy breeds in general have a very consistant carcass quality due to highly slective AI breeding. Nothing wrong with dairy steers when fed out properly that I know of. Don't know if there are any studies comparing the quality of dairy meat to beef breeds. Would be interest to see the results though?
