I have a small handful of fall born heifers that I could probably AI if I really wanted to, but I was thinking more along the lines of just growing them till April then kicking them out with the spring cows and bulls.I figured I would be OK as long as I just grow them and don't let them get greasy fat. I have generally bought replacements or young cows since we have had a cow herd, so I figured I would gain some useful info from some of you guys that keep your own replacements back every year.
