Reason is over time, enough of those little grains of sand all flowing in one direction or the other generally make the trend.
Looks to me like as long as 50% trim keeps on ticking this deal gonna keep going higher.
Afore indicates alot of hamburger use ( usa hamburger use deal has steadily expanded the past 5 years and keeps on keeping on ).
I expect 50% to move up on avg $1 cwt per day for another 6 months.
That is ALOT of dough on cattle btw.
Beef deal going to priced by the ounce, NOT the lb.
$16 per lb hamburger for example works out to $5 of beef in your quarter pounder.
Since we're only going to $8 per lb ( 250% higher than today's price ) on the afore works out to $2.50 of beef in your quarter pounder.
$8 per lb is only 50 cents per oz..
$16 per is only $1 per oz.
