You wouldn't believe the number of people who 'assume' that a bull without horns is polled. One guy I know even bought a bull out of a sale catalog where it said 'HORNED HEREFORD' 'Dehorned'. Didn't realize his mistake until after the sale when a bunch of people tried to buy the bull off of him. Has turned out to be one of the best bulls he has ever used.

In all honesty, I keep them on to help distinguish them from the polled bulls. I don't like to see the credit of a good-looking dehorned bull go to the Polled club.
