New Mexico
tested clean...some are not.
Same as the Angus folks practice.

ALOT of bulls like 1680, Future Direction etc used to make the exotics Black over the years.

Perhaps you have not noticed, but most the Black exotics are Black cowherds too.

On Angus the defects trend is towards the supposed better carcass trait cattle ( 1680 and Future Direction are Both perfect examples of this ).

The 1st Angus crosses into an exotic tend to favor the carcass traits on the Angus side.
Defects in Angus have correlated highly to various popular supposed carcass trait Angus bulls.
( Randy, just check the Black exotic pedigrees...btw you can come up with supposed potential statistical defect stats on those...JUST like the Angus folks have ).

The ONLY way to come up with statistics is to TEST the cattle ( or run the pedigree probability stats ).
Likely that MOST breeders will not do that because of the expense...just easier to use clean Pedigrees moving forward and produce one's way out for most of em.

Randy, guess I simply do not understand your leading statements as to why/or not buy this color or that, or ford/chevy whatever????

btw, The reason for using Original color exotics is to GAIN particular Unique TRAITS that come along with their original color trait.
