Anything 10% or under would be normal for opens, if you have trich you'd be seeing 25% or more open, it is detrimental. Last year we were about 8% IIRC. On the younger cows it is better to have your 3-4 year olds running separately during breeding, aside from needing more forage the older cows will fight them off the bulls plus they are just young and dumb and might not ever try and find a bull when in heat. A lot of places also need Selenium among other minerals for good breed back, although you need to do some testing first, we have more natural selenium then needed and if our mineral has any we actually get worse breeding results.
