northwest tennessee
I think heat has a big affect on cattle breeding and have seen bulls that dont know how to deal with it. I had some trouble last year and I am surprised that I did not have more. The cows were just hot hot and I have trouble with endophyte too so a double whammy. I think in hot weather you will see cows cycling normally but not sticking thus later calves. There are some blood lines of angus bulls around now too that have no common sense about breeding. A person should rotate bulls in and out if you can when it is hot and give them a break. The heat we have is rough too because the humidity is so high and that is what gets cattle. They can take high temps but add high humidity with it and you have problems.
