Driftless SW Wisconsin

In a nutshell, yes.  There is also a very good market for freezer beef around the Memorial Day weekend. I have my processors age the beef for at least two weeks and many customers want it delivered before the grilling season starts.

However the need to start the corn cycle again is the main driver for a prior to end of April harvest date on the steers. I also want to concentrate my limited grass resources for the coming calf crop especially as I increase my numbers. I do NOT want to take steers off of grazing corn and put them back on grass.
