Frytown, Iowa | yeller you are correct in saying that there is plenty of work in their own back yard yet you fail to realize that many around here have heard the good news of Jesus and either accepted or rejected Him. They have already made up their mind. however there are many in foreign countries who have never heard of Jesus or how to become saved. they havent made a decision yet. the entire church SHOULD be ministering to people in their back yards and living a life where it is obvious they are saved. so the overseas missions are still needed.
when Jesus said: Matthew 7:3-5 (New King James Version) 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
he is talking about rebuking someone for their sin without first acknowledging your own sin. we all sin but as a christian we are to constantly scan ourselves of sin, ask forgiveness and try to be like Jesus. only then should we rebuke someone for their sin. i guess im not following were you were going with that. |
