NW IA | We do 10% of net but this is an age old question. Some at church say 10 % of gross, we couldn't do that and stay afloat. If city folks tithe 10 % of their paycheck, that is net. My husband often asks them if they tithe their benefits, health insurance, etc. The employer is contributing 1/2 in most cases for the employee - should be considered income. The gov't thinks so since they want to tax this benefit now. Just my thoughts. | |
