Mike, i never seen you but you seem like a kind man. Sorry i am a little bitter when it comes to all this to many sand kicks in the face.
can relate to the sand in the face thing. our church was paying a nonmember 2-3k$ a winter to remove snow. i offerd to round up some others, and myself to do the snow removal as part of donation. was told that should in no way be counted as donation, as only money can be donated. something about took money to do work of church. members were expected to volenteer their time. i looked as it as they would have the savings to spend for the church. maybe a farmer looks at thing different. i looks at a reduction in expense as the same net effect as increase in income.
a public 'dressing down' like that kind of soured me. |
