stuff here.

Ultrasound em at about 1,000 lbs.
They'll split 3 ways ( to maturity and frame size ).
Pull your yield grade 4's or 5's that are non marbled off, simply sell em for cash.

That gives you a pretty much exact projected "out" date for each pen, AND insures your "grid up" if you sell in one of those programs.

When those 4's / 5's are off, that takes any potential "downs" off your " grid up" rail.

Biggest savings is feed conversion in the afore.
The few 4's or 5's can totally destroy the feed conversion $$ of a whole pen.
Just takes so much more feed for those few head to put on back and seam fat vs muscle or marbling fat.
