east central ND | so if the predicted big corn crop had come about and the price went down instead of the upswing, would you be praising your service? Mother nature can never be fully predicted. I would say if your 70% sales had profit, and you can make VERY profitable sales on the last 30%, you have done a good job. Wish I could do it with every bushel every year, but that is a bit unrealistic. Looking back at sales is a good way to get a headache. For a while I always wrote a note as to why I sold so later I could look back and see if my thinking was logical, and had good business reasons or if I was selling some emotional reason. | |
