NEMO | I remember the 80's very well. The only ones I saw that were able to buy the "cheap" land back then were the guys who had cash in the bank to pay for it. You have to remember that intrest rates were 12%+ back then and crop prices were in the tank.
Personally I'm getting along a lot better now with high cash rent and high grain prices than I did back then.
Be carefull what you wish for, for land prices to drop there has to be a reason and that reason, whatever it is, usually spells trouble for the average farmer. BTDT never want to go through that again! | |
