The elevator may allow you to purchase back your soybeans, but you would owe them the difference in the market and whatever costs they might assess you for cancelling the contract. A verbal contract was made between the two of you and that is a done deal. Put the shoe on the other foot. You sold the beans at $10.12 and the market is now $9.12. Should the elevator have the same option?
