Dad said to me last night, "You know, if corn prices run again, there won't be a cow left in the county." And, that's probably pretty much true. Any ground that might, just might, grow row crops is going to go to row crops, whether it's long term sustainable or not, and the costs that follow the higher priced corn aren't going to allow cattle, or hay production, to be anywhere close to profitable.
