East River SoDak | The old yw epd is the best indicator of future frame size of your cows nonsense. Mature frame size of the bull is the best indicator of the mature frame size of your cows. NOT ALL BULLS WITH A YW EPD OF 75 ON UP WILL INCREASE THE FRAME SIZE OF YOUR COWS AND MAKE THEM INEFFICIENT. The bull in discussion has a milk epd of +32 which is in the top 3% of the Angus breed. That stat will make your cows eat more and turn them into the black holsteins you always speak of. Then to say you can run 3 of these type cattle for 2 precision bred cattle. I don't even know where to begin. And this idea of having precision in your cows is going to cause a large percentage of opens. Wow, where did you get this stat from. A little precision in your cows is not going to hurt them, and if you cross breed it's not a concern. | |
