Central East River South Dakota | We have a dairy, and we pour a lot of our concrete, all of our concrete where we have cattle is grooved. We have two bull floats, one of them we got 1/2 X 1/2 Key stock, bolted to the bottom on 4" center. Run the grooves the same direction as cattle travel, in your case parallel to the feed bunks, cattle tend to slip feet side ways on ice/wet floors. The wider the concrete the better. We don't use any bunks for our drive-by all feed is dumped on concrete pad 3-4" higher than where the cattle stand. We push up with a skid loader and rubber blade twice a day, but that is dairy.
