My first was 14' with a step for the bunks After that I went to 20' with a step . It will collect a lot of manure which pays for the concrete. I like flat bottom bunks keeps rats away . I have my pens set so I can push off either end and it will be out of the gates I can stockpile for when I am able to spread. I put 16' gates in so i am able to get in easily. I also put in a 2 -2 1/2 ' footing . The easiest way to set the step is to pour your first slab then take a string and measure back 4 or 5 in on each end . set 1 x4 into the wet concrete @4' to hold your forms the next day. snap them off when you are done. I run all my concrete 5 1/2 in . I see that you are wanting 100' of bunk how many animals are you thinking? I run my pens with 160 ' of bunk and feed 120- 140 depending on size. I like them to all eat at one time.
