put a little "ripple" every 6 to 8 inches when we float.
On those aluminium floats you'll be holding the handle slightly up when you come back across the concrete, so every 6 to 8 inches just stop, push slightly forward then come back another notch etc.
That slight ripple affect just helps footing for the cattle in the event of ice storms etc.
