NC | Dave, don't know if it's available for you......but you may also want to look into Sprint's Wireless Broadband service. i use a Novatel U720 USB modem in my home PC, can also use it in laptop. they are expanding their EV DO A coverage which i'm not in, yet? even so, i'm thumping around at 2.4mpbs. EV DO A is alledged to be the fastest wireless going, 3.1 and up?
with the modem set to NDIS, you are always connected when the computer is on. after having 3 modems damaged by lightning, i'm sure this spring summer i will enjoy the wireless modem moreso. $60 a month, pricey but being mobile, with no hardline for electrical surges to follow has it's advantages to be weighed. jde | |
