NW Tennessee | Exactly how we do it here. Have very rarely had a band break and miss one. Milk them down, count them both and band. Then count them again. Have missed one before and have to re-band. Never known of one we cut in half. Not saying it's the best method, but it works for us and I don't understand why there would ever be any horror stories if down at birth. But maybe there are with the big banders on big calves. No experience with that. | |
