s nd | I tried on-star drive directions and didn't work in the clouds or rain for me. Tried one sat going to wedding in minnesota and no service for over an hour and a half. Asked them if something else was wrong that day, don't think the system was down. Did you get bluetooth in your car. Works with your cell phone. Hands free is nice. See if regular onstar is something you and your wife might like, just budget for it and see if you like it. It's like insurance premium, don't think about it too long or it'll make you mad. Most of us hopefully never use it.
