Subject: Remember 1992?

North of London
That was memorable in Ontario where most corn was harvested at 40-60% moisture if it was harvested.
Local elevator ran about 3 days drying corn down to 30% so farmers could take it home to put in their high moisture silos.
That year followed Mount Pinatubo erupting and sending gases high into the atmosphere and cooled the global temperature 0.5 degrees C

In the past week a Mount Ruang in Indonesia has erupted and not sure how much compared to Pinatubo but it has thrown gases high into the atmosphere
Those gases reflect the sunshine and cool the planet.

Time will tell if this one gives us much cooling but maybe crops will suffer in the next 12 months if it is as big as Pinatubo.

Lots of links about the story some more recent than others but as we plant we might keep an eye on the impact of this volcano

In Ontario we had a slow maturing crop last year which was attributed to all the forest fires out west.
Fires in Alberta and BC have started already this year so we may have poor sunshine again from those if rain does not come soon
