Carter Montana | Houses and to a lesser extent farmground went up by roughly 30% appraised value this year. The mills stayed the same here. Thus, our taxes went up 30%. Viola, an end run around the Mills changing.
Oh, and by the way, since your house is valued 30% higher, If you have a mortgage, you'll be paying higher homeowners insurance on that property because its now worth more.
None of the legislators in this state seem to know where the extra 250 million in property taxes went. Go figure....... | |
