Walk in your shop and look at the spare parts "just in case". You carry $5K in extra parts for the combine for example, if you need a $450 belt on Saturday night you have it and you can get another day of harvesting in before the dealership opens Monday, or it sits there 10 years after you sold that combine and doesn't fit the new one.
I used to stock filters for everything I had, I eventually gave up since I didn't need an air filter sitting here for 3+ years before I used it on a tractor I hardly used. Other than extra fuel filters for the mixer tractor and skid steers I don't keep much on hand. If I need to do a service I call in my order and pick them up before I start. | |
