Yeah I switched propane suppliers years back to a local family company from the big billion dollar company with super bowl ads we all know. I had a candid conversation with one of the drivers once and he said "You know of course they're going to be cheaper, I have like 5 layers of management above me!"

Things like fertilizer though will never change because it is a cartel market, CF controls all of the nitrogen and mosaic controls all of the MAP/DAP and they don't want any additional players in the distribution channel. Seed to a lesser extent is the same way. They will figure out what a farmer can afford and that is where the price of their product will be.
