Was thinking the same thing.   As you indicated, how many farmers follow the same guidelines and don't have fancier equipment, shops, personal vehicles etc. than they really need?  Pot calling the kettle black.  Some farmers do not appreciate how good they have it compared most folks who punch a clock or, as you said, don't have to deal with the public everyday..
