| I am seriously considering fencing in part of the woods not far from the house to maybe feed out some steers. I have never attempted to do this before. My question is what do I need for fencing at a minimum? I think electric fence is out of the question because of power. Was thinking wood posts on the corners and T posts between with 4x4 wire fencing with a gate. Is this sufficient to keep cows in or do I need all wood posts? Thinking ahead as far as retirement I want to do some homesteading after retirement to keep me busy. Won’t be vacationing and going on cruises. Doesn’t appeal to me much. I do plan on feeding 100% grass hay but haven’t got that far on specifics of the raising process. Thanks | |
