Sounds like your Dad should be farming less and turning more over to you. Not the other way around. That is if you want to farm more.
If you really want to farm pretty much full time then you need to get some equipment, rent more from your Dad or family but keep him involved as long as he wants and as long as he gives you the freedom to make the decisions.
Some parents just won't let go. I hope yours does. Its best for family relations and the long term survivability of the farm. |
